About the Role

Mukuru is seeking a highly skilled KYC Verification Officer to join our team in Cape Town. As a key member of our Compliance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of our customer onboarding process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify and validate customer documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Guide customers through the verification process, providing clear guidance and support via phone, email, or chat.
  • Merge duplicate customer profiles to maintain accurate records.
  • Stay up-to-date on regulatory changes and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Identify and report any suspicious activity on customer accounts.
  • Collaborate with the verification team to achieve daily and monthly targets.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, upholding the Mukuru brand and values.
  • Develop and maintain professional and self-development skills to stay ahead in the industry.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 2 years of experience in KYC or a related field.
  • Excellent English language skills, including reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Knowledge of money transfer procedures and regulations.
  • Understanding of AML and Fraud regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
