We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanic - Large Commercial Vehicles to join our team at Globevest Group.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services on diesel engines and related components.
This includes conducting routine inspections of vehicles and machinery to ensure proper operation, as well as troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems and providing solutions for repair.
The Mechanic - Large Commercial Vehicles will ensure all repairs comply with safety and regulatory standards, while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
In addition, the successful candidate will keep accurate records of maintenance work and parts used, respond to breakdowns, and work effectively with the team to ensure timely vehicle repairs and minimize downtime.
We require a Matric or equivalent qualification, along with a Diesel Mechanic qualification + trade.
Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic is essential, with a strong understanding of diesel engine systems.
Experience in repairing and maintaining large commercial vehicles, including trucks and trailers, is also required.
We value a strong problem-solving skillset and the ability to work under pressure, combined with excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
