Job Title: Data Capture Clerk

At Isilumko Staffing, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Capture Clerk to join our team. As a Data Capture Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our data processing operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify client funds before processing requests to minimize financial loss.
  • Check the accuracy of requests before and after processing to prevent errors.
  • Ensure compliance with bank policies and industry regulations to minimize the risk of loss.
  • Capture bank charges for one-off requests by manually entering them into the banking system.
  • Meet quality standards by adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and turnaround times.
  • Build client trust by resolving queries promptly and communicating SLA deviations.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external relationships with clients by educating them on the requesting process and system.
  • Provide monthly workflow updates by preparing and submitting daily and monthly statistics reports to the team leader.
  • Mitigate the risk of fraud by verifying client details with records on the banking platform.
  • Ensure security procedures are followed by verifying authorized signatories.
  • Confirm client requests by telephone to ensure they are aware of the request and that everything is in order for approval.
  • Capture client information, date, and time, and sign and stamp in accordance with bank procedures to approve the request.
  • Update the receiving file by capturing the request on the server in the relevant folder.
  • Report and record serious incidents affecting department performance on the incidents form.
  • Adhere to all workflow processes.
  • Improve service delivery by redirecting security stationery to the correct branches and updating branch details with printers and couriers.
  • Stay up-to-date with legislation and industry changes that impact the role by reading relevant newsletters, websites, and attending sessions.
  • Understand and embody the bank's Vision and Values by demonstrating them through interaction with the team and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the achievement of team goals by ensuring personal participation and contribution.
  • Create and manage personal career growth through guidance and support from management, department, and colleagues.
  • Improve personal capability and stay current with developments in the field of expertise by identifying training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from managers.
  • Ensure personal growth and effectiveness in performance of roles and responsibilities by completing all learning activities, practicing experience, and obtaining and/or maintaining certifications within specified time frames.
  • Ensure knowledge management, continuity, and team success through constructive participation in a diverse team and sharing knowledge with the team.
  • Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in culture-building initiatives.
  • Support corporate social responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy (e.g., training/awareness on digital forensic examination to external parties on a pro bono basis).
  • Identify opportunities to improve or enhance processes by identifying and recommending improvements to tools, policies, and procedures to add value to the bank.
