Job Title: Short-term Sales/Underwriter

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Short-term Sales/Underwriter to join our team at Numeral XII (Pty) Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a passion for sales and underwriting to contribute to the growth and success of our company.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets for short-term insurance products;
  • Coaching and developing a sales team to achieve sales targets;
  • Providing sales support to ensure seamless integration between sales and sales administration;
  • Developing and implementing product and marketing strategies to drive business growth;
  • Liaising with relevant networks and service providers to ensure accurate financial administration;
  • Building and maintaining professional relationships with clients and service providers;
  • Managing risk and minimizing bad debt through effective underwriting and monitoring;
  • Reaching sales targets and driving business growth;
  • Developing and managing a broker and channel distribution network;
  • Submitting regular sales reports to management and the Board of Directors;
  • Working closely with group finance to manage and oversee financial and business planning activities;
  • Underwriting personal and commercial policies to ensure accurate coverage and client satisfaction;
  • Communicating with clients on a regular basis to ensure their needs are met;
  • Liaising with insurance companies to ensure seamless policy administration;
  • Marketing services to drive business growth and client engagement;
  • Setting strategic goals and designing business models to meet company milestones.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3-6 years' experience as a short-term insurance underwriter;
  • 3-6 years' experience in selling short-term insurance products;
  • Experience in coaching a sales team;
  • Full insurance qualification;
  • RE5 certificate (non-negotiable);
  • RE1 certificate (preferred);
  • Fit and proper, relating to financial services legislation;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Afrikaans;
  • Ability to work overtime when required.
