About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Gas Installation Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient operation of engineering operations and projects within the KZN region.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Performing and ensuring efficient operation of ESD maintenance and projects section department to meet corporate and legal requirements;
  • Ensuring all on-site installations and maintenance meet high-quality workmanship standards;
  • Maintaining the highest level of safety and eliminating risk to personnel and property;

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 with Maths and Science;
  • A minimum N3 Certificate as a Millwright with Red Seal Trade Tested Artisan;
  • Proven records of Apprenticeship;
  • SAQCC Installer certified (advantageous);
  • Basic Fire Certificate, First Aid Certification, and Working at Heights Certificate (advantageous);
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in heavy engineering/production environment within the Gas or related industry;
  • At least 5 years of experience in a Technician capacity;
  • Experience dealing with customers, suppliers, and contractors;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills;
  • A valid unendorsed code 08 driver's licence and own reliable vehicle;
  • Ability to work overtime and travel when required;
  • Willingness to be on standby on weekends and public holidays;
