Job Title: Principal Software Engineering Lead

A cutting-edge technology company, like People Solved, is currently undertaking a digital transformation and looking for talented Principal Engineers to lead their Engineering teams. This role involves reviewing the way of work within the teams, maintaining a tight partnership between Architecture and Engineering, and embracing the goals of an elastic enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-develop the Technical Strategy alongside the Head of Technology and drive its successful execution within the engineering teams.
  • Establish incremental steps to progress the organization towards the desired architectural state, allowing for temporary concessions to maintain momentum and ensure ongoing advancement.
  • Work closely with the Project Management Office to ensure successful and timeous delivery of technology-driven projects.
  • Act as an ambassador and leader of the company culture by fostering a positive and constructive working environment where innovation is encouraged.
  • Define a roadmap that is achievable and realizes both Business and Technical goals.
  • Successfully transform into an elastic computing world, working closely with the Head of IT to achieve this in a secure and cost-effective manner.
  • Identify, compare, select, and implement technology solutions to meet current and future needs.
  • Oversee the management of designing, development, and coding of new and current business systems as required.
  • Manage the enforcement of technology standards and practices, focusing on the SDLC, Architectural, and Information Security goals.
  • Consolidate technology platforms in a way that aligns with Business Service teams and strategies.
  • Optimize the use of technology products by aligning with the greater Group, embracing the Group Tech Radar and Tech Adoption process, and looking for opportunities of re-use or collaboration.

Requirements:

  • At least 7-10 years of technical experience.
  • Proven Leadership experience in managing multiple teams.
  • Knowledge of Technology Trends to build a successful strategy.
  • Proven Solutions-Focused approach able to turn problems into opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present confidently to large audiences.
  • Proven experience in Stakeholder management and ability to nurture positive collaborative relationships.
