SHEQ Administrator Position

At Unitrans, we are seeking a skilled SHEQ Administrator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a passion for health and safety procedures.
About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced SHEQ Administrator who can ensure compliance with legislation and policy. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of Microsoft applications and experience in a SHEQ environment.
Responsibilities- Conduct investigations into incidents and accidents
- Perform SHEQ inspections and accompany the SHEQ Manager on audits
- Identify hazards and risks and provide mitigation measures
- Assist in reviewing and updating policies and procedures
- Enforce the safety enforcement system
- Assist in crisis management
- Monitor and capture incidents/accidents on the Entropy system
- Carry out pre-start inspections of Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
- Ensure MHE is serviceable
- Carry out weekly harness inspections
- Inspect trolleys
- Determine and adhere to maintenance schedules
- Maintain house-keeping standards
- Update equipment checklists daily
- Liaise with Warehouse Manager and DC Manager
- Compile incident reports relating to MHE
- Matric certificate
- 1 year experience in a SHEQ environment
- Microsoft knowledge
- SAMTRAC or equivalent certification
- Incident/Accident Investigations
- Inspections and Audits
- Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments
- Reviewing of Policies and Procedures
- Non-conformance Reporting
- Reporting on Entropy
- Emergency Preparedness
The estimated salary for this position is R250,000 - R300,000 per annum, depending on experience.
