Job Title: Manager: Skills Planning and Research

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager: Skills Planning and Research to join our team at Nambiti Technologies.

Job Summary:

The Manager: Skills Planning and Research will be responsible for developing and implementing the company's skills planning and research strategy, leading a team of researchers and analysts to identify and address skills gaps in the sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and review the Skills Planning and Research Department's annual plan and budget.
  • Lead the development and implementation of research projects to identify and address skills gaps in the sector.
  • Manage and monitor the development and evaluation of Workplace Skills Plans (WSPs) and Annual Training Reports (ATRs).
  • Identify and manage partnerships with universities, colleges, and other stakeholders to enhance skills development in the sector.
  • Develop and update departmental policies and procedures.
  • Manage and implement the Skills Planning and Research Department's activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Social Sciences, Management, or Business Administration (NQF 7) qualification.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources, Education, Social Sciences, Management, or Business Administration (NQF 8) will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a skills development/planning and research environment at supervisory or management level.
  • Good understanding of research methods and approaches.
  • Ability to lead, plan, and manage change.
  • Passionate about work and willing to become immersed in it.
  • Initiative and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong time management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to set priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
