International Trade Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized International Trade Assistant to join our team at DSV Road GmbH. In this role, you will assist in the facilitation of international trade by providing administrative support to our trading teams.

You will be responsible for preparing and processing trade documents, such as commercial invoices, bills of lading, and certificates of origin. You will also need to have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

This role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be working closely with our experienced team to provide exceptional customer service and ensure seamless trade transactions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process trade documents
  • Commercial invoices
  • Bills of lading
  • Certificates of origin
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Matric qualification (essential)
  • Own reliable transport
  • Unendorsed driver's license
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Request for special attendance of urgent shipments from forwarding offices
  • Follow up with carriers and overseas offices to ensure cargo flown/sailed as booked
  • Update the Client controllers on shipment statuses
  • Expedite short landings or damages and chase up on outstanding consignments
  • Meet with the Client controllers on a weekly basis at the Client's premises
  • Attend to all queries both from DSV as well as the Client
