Fundraising and Stakeholder Engagement Officer

FRIMO RECRUITMENT AGENCY is seeking a highly skilled Fundraising and Stakeholder Engagement Officer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective fundraising strategies to secure donations and grants from various sources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to secure donations and grants from various sources
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including donors, funders, and community partners
  • Identify and pursue new funding opportunities, including corporate sponsorships and grants
  • Manage and track fundraising efforts, including budgeting and reporting
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective communication and coordination

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in fundraising and stakeholder engagement
  • Proven track record of securing donations and grants
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of fundraising principles and practices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • South African Fundraising Institute certificate
  • Financial certificate

Legislation, Policies, Procedures and Standards:

  • Familiarity with Arts sector policies, local and globally
  • Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA), and Treasury regulations
  • Knowledge of the Arts and corporate governance issues

Financial Budgeting, Planning and Reporting:

  • Experience with budgeting and financial planning
  • Ability to track and report on fundraising efforts

Stakeholder Management:

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

People's Management:

  • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
