Key Account Manager

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a highly skilled Key Account Manager to join our team. As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with our clients, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Account Planning: Develop and execute account plans to meet sales targets, including sales, orders, pipeline, sales product mix, margin/profitability, and contacts across key functions and levels.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with account decision-makers and influencers, understanding their buying processes and identifying opportunities to grow the business.
  • Revenue Growth: Identify, engage, and secure revenue opportunities within assigned accounts, capturing client challenges and requirements, and resolving them with reference to our portfolio.
  • Tender Management: Oversee and align the commercial and engineering response to tenders to client requirements, finalizing commercial processes, and securing purchase orders and framework agreements.
  • Post-Order Management: Ensure effective handover to post-order project management, product services, and customer support teams, maintaining oversight of all commercial-related engagements for customer success/satisfaction and our performance as a vendor.
  • Business Insights: Develop and maintain knowledge of clients' business, commercial condition, structure, strategy, operations, and challenges, articulating opportunities, growth, and risk with respect to our business.
  • Internal Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other sales and stakeholders at function, country, region, and global levels, providing account-specific guidance and insights to support their roles and add value to the client.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of the Data Centre industry, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be fluent in English and have a high degree of customer affinity and the ability to influence others.
