Key Account Manager

Responsibilities:
  • Account Planning: Develop and execute account plans to meet sales targets, including sales, orders, pipeline, sales product mix, margin/profitability, and contacts across key functions and levels.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with account decision-makers and influencers to identify and secure revenue opportunities.
  • Client Understanding: Understand the client's buying process, challenges, and requirements to provide tailored solutions and drive business growth.
  • Tender Management: Oversee the commercial and engineering response to tenders to ensure alignment with client requirements.
  • Order Management: Finalize commercial processes and secure purchase orders and framework agreements.
  • Post-Order Support: Ensure effective handover to post-order project management, product services, and customer support teams.
  • Commercial Oversight: Maintain oversight of all commercial-related engagements for customer success/satisfaction and our performance as a vendor.
  • Business Acumen: Develop and maintain knowledge of clients' business, commercial condition, structure, strategy, operations, and challenges to articulate opportunities, growth, and risk with respect to our business.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate the benefits of supporting assigned accounts within our organization.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reporting on account numbers, targets, and current business levels within the account.

Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher Diploma in Science or Engineering or equivalent Data Centre industry experience
  • Related experience in the Data Centre business is required
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and coordinate others
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Data Centre design and operations
  • Able to relate well as a peer to Leaders of target customers
  • Knowledgeable on how to identify and implement new tools and processes
  • A well-rounded professional who knows when to support, when to lead, when to listen, and when to direct
  • Diversity oriented
  • Fluent English language is required
  • Availability to travel up to 50% of the working time
