Job Title: Finance Manager

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our team at Bonafide Human Capital (Pty) Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial department, maintaining internal control measures, and ensuring compliance with sound financial practices and good corporate governance. They will also support the Dealer Principal and Financial Executive in achieving financial objectives, identifying areas of risk and improvement, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare and report financial statements to Division, H.O., and auditors (internal and external)
  2. Prepare and complete various weekly, monthly, and annual financial statements
  3. Complete monthly management reports
  4. Compile management accounts, including budgets, cash flows, variance analysis, and commentaries
  5. Produce financial and management information
  6. Maintain the integrity and reliability of the financial data
  7. Ensure that month-end cut-offs are compliant in terms of company policies
  8. Manage the effective and timely provision of financial, statutory, and sustainability reporting including cash flows, variance analysis, and commentaries
  9. Oversee accurate reconciliation of all financial records to enable verification of the validity of transactions and to take appropriate action where required
  10. Prepare and complete financial budgets for the dealership in conjunction with departmental managers and other stakeholders
  11. Ensure effective and efficient administration of operational costs within budget, identify areas of financial and operational risk, and escalate appropriately
  12. Supervise cash management activities
  13. Responsible for co-signatory of payments with Dealer Principal by approved policies and procedures
  14. Manage and report on progress against the operational budget in liaison with the Dealer Principal
  15. Analyse and interpret financial information: Complete analysis of financial data to understand and compare business results; interpret and analyse financial data to draw conclusions and trends from the financial analysis
  16. Complete profit and loss analysis
  17. Complete and update daily cash flow statements to establish working capital requirements
  18. Assist in the preparation and timely filing of all internal accounting and financial reports for governmental and regulatory bodies
  19. Accurately calculate and process VAT, provisional tax, etc.
  20. Establish and monitor internal controls
  21. Implement corporate governance and compliance policies and processes to identify and manage risks and expose liabilities
  22. Manage and control the administration and financial processes within the dealership
  23. Conduct reconciliation of vehicles, parts, and service assets, verify against accounting records, and address all anomalies with senior line management
  24. Manage supplier and customer relationships; ensuring effective debtors and creditors processes are in place and adhered to
  25. Identify opportunities to minimize cost and increase revenue
  26. Manage the security of all assets within direct control, i.e. cash, and fixed assets, in line with approved policies, processes, and procedures
  27. Attract, retain, appraise, train, coach and develop finance and administration team members
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • BCom degree with Accounting NQF7+
  • Recognised Management/ Leadership Diploma or Certificate – an advantage
  • 5+ years' accounting/ financial management experience in similar environment
  • Relevant experience in the Automotive Industry
  • Relevant Experience as a Financial Manager for a premium brand would be an advantage
