We are seeking a skilled Debt Recovery Specialist to join our team at Mayfly Agri (Pty) Ltd. As a crucial member of our financial operations, you will be responsible for managing debtor relationships, performing debt collection responsibilities, and ensuring timely payment from clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform debt collection duties, including communication with debtors and management of debt recovery processes.
  • Reconcile debtor accounts, including Co-Op and Distributor accounts, to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Handle EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) functions for Co-Ops when applicable.
  • Respond to client and Crop Advisor queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with management to resolve debtor concerns and implement effective solutions.
  • Assist with printing debtor invoices and statements, as well as reconciliations and mailing of accounts.
  • Participate in external and internal audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a backup for other Debtors Administrators and Credit Controllers, providing support and coverage as needed.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Credit Management or equivalent, along with a certificate in basic accounting.
  • A minimum of 6 years' relevant work experience in a financial environment, preferably as a Debtors Administrator/Clerk.
  • Previous experience working with Co-Op accounts is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English and Afrikaans, due to the nature of the customer base.
  • Excellent customer relationship skills and ability to focus on customer needs and satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in Syspro and MS Office.
