Job Overview
The Varsity College, Cape Town Campus, has a vacancy for an Admissions Officer. This role plays a crucial part in the admissions process, ensuring that students receive timely and accurate information about their applications. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be highly organized, and have a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the campus student retention team to address student admissions-related queries.
  • Evaluate student admissions against set admission criteria and communicate appropriate outcomes.
  • Liaise with the campus student retention team during the admission evaluation process and assessment.
  • Escalate admission queries to the Senior Admission Officer and Office of the Registrar.
  • Liaise with the campus Head Academic Operations on the management of declined admissions and expired offers.
  • Document and issue admission letters as needed.
  • Verify the accuracy of student registration information on an ongoing basis.
  • Determine conditions associated with student admission and follow up accordingly.
  • Determine the eligibility of admittees onto academic programmes.
  • Track student admissions through to registration.
  • Report on admission progress to the Senior Admission Officer and Head: Academic Operations.
  • Adhere to established service level agreements of the admissions process.
  • Work with the Finance department on finance-related issues related to admission.
