  • VAT and Tax Compliance: Manage VAT, EMP201, and Excise submissions, ensuring compliance with SARS regulations.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee complex invoice capturing, supplier reconciliations, and payment processes.
  • Cash Management: Manage electronic bank payments, foreign payments, petty cash, and cash deposits.
  • Procurement and Inventory: Ensure effective procurement practices and accurate stock management.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Review and approve payroll registers, assist with payroll submissions, and ensure accurate payroll journal entries.
  • Fixed Assets and Debtors: Maintain fixed asset registers, manage customer invoices, and ensure debtors accounts are reconciled.
  • Annual Budgeting and Audits: Assist with annual budgeting and prepare for external audits.

Requirements:

  • Financial degree or diploma (SAIPA Professional Accountant is advantageous)
  • Minimum 3 years experience in financial accounting, preferably in the hospitality, tourism, or property sector
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and financial accounting systems (e.g., Sage Evolution, Protel PMS)
  • Strong knowledge of VAT legislation and financial reporting standards
