Job Title: Chocolatier

At MSC Cruises, we are seeking a skilled Chocolatier to join our team. As a Chocolatier, you will be responsible for creating high-quality chocolate products that meet our strict food safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recipe Preparation: Prepare chocolate recipes in accordance with our specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Chocolate Production: Produce a range of chocolate decorations and products, adhering to food safety protocols and quality control measures.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our guests and team members.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all chocolate products meet our high standards.
  • Food Safety: Follow all food safety protocols and procedures, including HACCP, to prevent contamination and ensure a safe food environment.
  • Supply Management: Collect daily supplies from the F&B Store and manage inventory to ensure efficient production.
  • Guest Experience: Provide excellent service to our guests, ensuring that their dietary requirements are met and their experience is exceptional.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Completed technical education in hospitality or culinary school specializing in chocolate, certified in food safety/HACCP, and demonstrated understanding and practical knowledge of food safety.
  • Work Experience: 1 year of work experience in a hotel establishment or cruise line in a similar position.
Documents Required:
  • Valid Passport: A valid South African passport.
  • Police Clearance: A police clearance certificate.
