Key Responsibilities
  • Recipe Preparation: Prepare recipes in accordance with MSC Cruises' specifications to ensure high-quality chocolate products.
  • Chocolate Production: Produce a range of chocolate decorations and products as specified by the Maitre Chocolatier, ensuring food safety and quality.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Check the cleanliness of the chocolate shop before each shift starts and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Quality Control: Perform overall quality control of all chocolate shop items and ensure compliance with MSC Cruises' food safety standards.
  • Food Safety and Handling: Follow all food safety protocols in the pastry department and handle allergens correctly for guests with specific dietary requirements.
  • Inventory Management: Collect daily from the F&B Store all supplies required for immediate operations and minimize food spoilage.
Qualifications
  • Education: Minimum high school graduate; preferred completion of technical education in hospitality or culinary school specializing in chocolate.
  • Certifications: Certified in Food Safety/HACCP and demonstrated understanding and practical knowledge of food safety.
  • Experience: Proven ability to work in a harmonious productive team environment and 1 year's work experience in a hotel establishment or cruise line in a similar position.
