Crew Life at Sea is seeking an experienced Dining Room Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our onboard dining room.
With a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maitre'd in a high-volume restaurant or cruise ship setting, you will be responsible for managing a team of waitstaff, assigning tables, and ensuring smooth service throughout meal times.
You will train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of the waitstaff to maintain high standards of service and professionalism, and monitor and maintain the inventory of dining room supplies, including china, glassware, and silverware.
In addition, you will coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food orders, interact with guests to ensure a positive dining experience, and handle any guest concerns or complaints in a professional and efficient manner.
You will also collaborate with other departments, such as the bar and entertainment teams, to ensure a seamless guest experience, assist in creating and implementing menus and special dining events, and adhere to all safety and sanitation standards to maintain a clean and safe dining environment.
As a key member of our crew, you will also oversee the billing process and ensure accurate and timely delivery of guest checks, and handle administrative tasks, such as scheduling, payroll, and budget management.
The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, strong organizational and time-management abilities, and the ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
They will also have extensive knowledge of food and beverage service techniques and etiquette, proficiency in Microsoft Office and restaurant management software, and fluency in English, both written and verbal.
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. This estimate is based on industry standards and the complexity of the role.
