Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Village Manager to join our team in Pietermaritzburg district. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the smooth administrative running of the Village, ensuring it maintains its status as a premier retirement complex.

The successful candidate will manage all administrative aspects of the Village, adhering to our company's vision, mission, and current policies. This includes liaising with residents, the Chairperson of the Village Management Committee, staff, and other stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Liaison with residents and relevant parties
  2. Administration of Community assets within the Village
  3. Personnel management and leadership
  4. Management of Support Services
  5. New project development within the village

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum educational qualification: Matric plus a suitable tertiary education
  • Minimum experience: 10 years, at least 5 in a senior role within a care facility or service industry

Required Skills:

  1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  2. Able to demonstrate patience, empathy, and compassion
  3. Professionalism and model leadership behavior
  4. Energetic leadership and problem-solving skills
  5. Ability to work under pressure and make assertive decisions

Technical Skills:

  • Computer literacy and competence with MS Word and MS Excel
  • Knowledge of standard office and administrative systems
  • Able to learn and use novel computer software

Compensation: The estimated salary for this position is approximately R550,000 - R650,000 per annum, depending on experience.
