Executive Chef Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team at Pple Group. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing kitchen staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage kitchen staff, including cooks, food preparation workers, and dishwashers
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality dishes, meeting service, operational, and financial objectives
  • Implement hygiene policies and examine equipment for cleanliness
  • Design new recipes, plan menus, and select plate presentations
  • Review staffing levels and make recommendations for improvement
  • Perform administrative tasks, including taking stock of food and equipment supplies and making purchase orders
  • Set and monitor performance standards for staff
  • Obtain feedback on food and service quality and handle customer complaints

Requirements:

  • 2 years of culinary education
  • 5 years of experience in a similar position
  • Advanced knowledge of food professional principles and practices
  • Proficient knowledge of human resources management
  • Excellent knowledge of BOH systems, ordering, and inventory
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Available to work on-call, shifts, after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays
