Job Description

**Job Title:** Senior Financial Accountant

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our team at PKF South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial accounting services to our clients, including financial statement preparation, budgeting, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • **Financial Statement Preparation:** Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
  • **Budgeting and Financial Analysis:** Assist clients in preparing budgets and financial forecasts, and provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decision-making.
  • **Financial Accounting Services:** Provide financial accounting services, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
  • **Financial Reporting:** Prepare and review financial reports, including financial statements, management reports, and other financial information.
  • **Financial Planning and Analysis:** Assist clients in developing financial plans and forecasts, and provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decision-making.
  • **Financial Compliance:** Ensure compliance with financial regulations and laws, including tax laws and accounting standards.
  • **Financial Training and Development:** Provide training and development opportunities to junior staff members to enhance their financial skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • **Bachelor's Degree in Accounting:** A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required.
  • **Professional Certification:** Professional certification, such as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA), is preferred.
  • **Experience:** A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting, including experience in financial statement preparation, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • **Skills:** Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in financial software and systems.
