Business Growth Strategist for Warehousing Services

Job Purpose:

Our company, MacDonald's Transport, is looking for a Business Growth Strategist to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for identifying and developing profitable new business opportunities for warehousing services. Your primary goal will be to market and sell these services through a service-to-sell approach, maintaining our customer portfolio, and ensuring that all related queries and complaints are dealt with in a professional manner.

Qualifications & Competencies Required:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify business opportunities and develop effective strategies.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification and at least three years of experience in a similar role in a warehouse environment.
  • Advanced computer literacy with strong Excel skills, including data analysis and interpretation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Fluency in Afrikaans and English (verbal and written) is a significant advantage.
  • Business writing skills and the ability to prepare professional written proposals and quotations.
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to close deals in a competitive market.
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure, with a strong sales approach.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement effective business growth strategies to increase sales and revenue.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, developing and maintaining a database of potential clients.
  • Maintain and grow existing business by cross-selling opportunities and developing strong client relationships.
  • Keep up-to-date sales records for all existing and prospective accounts on company IT systems.
  • Prepare and present professional written proposals and quotations to clients.

Estimated Salary: R250,000 - R350,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Location: Johannesburg, South Africa.
