Job Title: Financial Controller for West Coast Personnel

We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our team at West Coast Personnel.

The Financial Controller will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information to executive management to enable correct policy decisions, improve operational efficiency, and ensure the ongoing and sound profitability of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Preparation and submission of accurate and timely monthly management accounts, reconciliation of General Ledger Accounts, and assistance with preparation of annual budget and forecasts.
  • Backup for critical day-to-day processing, review of weekly independent subcontractor payroll, and audit preparation.
  • Monthly calculations and submission of VAT returns and EMP201s, control and processing of fixed assets, cost analysis of variances, and ensuring intercompany balances reconcile and are in balance.
  • Approvals such as payment releases and preparation and submission of monthly cash flow projections.

Governance and Controls:

  • Responsible for assisting the FM with the external audit, ensuring legislative and statutory requirements are met, and ensuring IFRS compliance in daily functions.
  • Ensuring that internal controls are adhered to, to minimize risk and financial loss.
