As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist at Belmond, you play a crucial role in upholding the exquisite appearance of our hotel facilities. This position requires you to be a dedicated steward of the infrastructure and equipment that supports our commitment to delivering a luxurious experience and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repair tasks throughout the interior and exterior of the property.
  • Ensure the facilities are maintained to the highest standards through various upkeep activities.
  • Oversee the building's structural integrity and aesthetic appeal by meticulously monitoring guest and service areas.
  • Complete job orders promptly and address guest concerns effectively.
  • Maintain professionalism and integrity in all interactions with guests, staff, and external partners.
  • Assist with additional departmental tasks as directed by management.
  • Utilize and care for hand tools and light machinery as needed.
  • Propose enhancements to existing systems and processes.
  • Follow through on requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Communicate effectively regarding progress and any issues to uphold service excellence.
  • Execute duties in alignment with hotel standards.
  • Adhere to Leading Quality Assurance and departmental guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of painting materials and their proper application techniques.
  • Basic mathematical abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with hand tools and power equipment.
  • Highly organized with effective communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented mindset.
  • Fundamental knowledge of electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems.
  • Ability to devise repair plans using various tools.
  • Skills in diagnosing machinery and equipment issues.
  • Basic understanding of routine preventative maintenance practices.
