As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist at Belmond, you play a crucial role in upholding the exceptional aesthetic and operational standards of our properties. In this position, you will be entrusted with the maintenance and repair of essential infrastructure and equipment, ensuring that our team can provide an unparalleled experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair tasks for both the interior and exterior of the property.
  • Ensure the facilities are maintained in pristine condition through various maintenance activities.
  • Conduct regular inspections to uphold the building's structure and enhance the aesthetics in both guest and service areas.
  • Timely completion of work orders and effective resolution of any guest-related issues.
  • Maintain a high standard of integrity and professionalism in all interactions with guests, staff, and external partners.
  • Assist with additional departmental and hotel tasks as required by management.
  • Utilize and maintain hand tools and light machinery effectively.
  • Propose enhancements to existing systems and procedures.
  • Ensure all requests are addressed to meet guest satisfaction.
  • Communicate updates and concerns clearly to maintain service excellence.
  • Perform duties in accordance with established hotel standards.
  • Adhere to Leading Quality Assurance and departmental guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with painting materials and techniques for selection, mixing, and application.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with hand tools and power equipment.
  • Highly organized with effective communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented mindset.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems.
  • Ability to develop a plan of action for repairs using various tools.
  • Skill in diagnosing machinery and equipment issues through mechanical insight.
  • Foundational understanding of routine preventative maintenance.
