Job Title: Medical Services Operations Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Medical Services Operations Manager to join our team at Abantu Staffing Solutions in East London. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the overall operations of our Support Department, encompassing patient bookings, reception, reporting, authorisations, porters, drivers, and Ultrasound Assistants at all branches (5).
The ideal candidate will have a strong leadership background, with experience in change management, people management, and operational excellence. They will be expected to work closely with the Doctors, managing their weekly duty roster, and contribute significantly to the effectiveness of the company in identifying methods of improvement of service, suggesting strategies and approaches, and measuring the results of all efforts.
About You:
- You have a Grade 12 / Matric qualification and a completed tertiary qualification (NQF 6 or higher) in Accounting, Finance, Radiology, Nursing, HR, Management, or a relevant field.
- You have relevant private healthcare industry experience, with a proven track record of leadership, change management, and people management.
- You have a deep understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges, and role players, as well as relevant and current legislation.
- You possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to coordinate large teams and drive productivity and efficiency.
- You have a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a demonstrated ability to lead in an environment of constant change.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure effective quality management and customer care by monitoring and improving quality metrics, managing data integrity, and developing relationships with stakeholders.
- Ensure effective interpretation and application of contracts and funder rules by managing bookings, authorizations, and reception departments, and facilitating cash flow management.
- Governance and risk management by preparing sound audit compliance, participating in risk management teams, and supporting investigations.
- Operational responsibilities include coordinating day-to-day operations, managing support departments, ensuring smooth workflow, and providing support and training to new sites acquired by the New Business division.
- Ensure effective people management by demonstrating visible leadership, actively leading meetings, recruiting quality staff members, and managing performance through the performance improvement process.
