About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned Unit Manager to lead our Maternity Unit, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective nursing care plans, coordinating the delivery of treatment plans with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Act as a clinical expert, driving patient outcomes through evidence-based practice and best operating practices.
  • Evaluate staff competence, identify training needs, and create a learning environment that fosters professional growth and development.
  • Promote customer satisfaction by addressing complaints, conducting quality rounds, and auditing clinical practices.
  • Implement national quality initiatives within the unit, focusing on improved clinical outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree or diploma in nursing, complemented by a postgraduate diploma in midwifery.
  • Proof of current SANC registration.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience, with technical skills aligned to centric goals and critical outputs.
  • Proven leadership and people management experience within a maternity (labor and post-natal) unit.
  • Computer proficiency.
