We are seeking a highly skilled Unit Manager to lead our Maternity Unit in Cape Town. As a key member of our hospital's leadership team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and driving clinical excellence.
The successful candidate will have a degree/diploma in nursing with postgraduate diploma in midwifery, current SANC registration, and 3 years' relevant experience in maternity (labor and post-natal) units. Proven leadership and people management skills are essential, as well as computer proficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of the nursing care plan and coordinate the delivery of treatment plans within MDT programs to achieve clinical outcomes.
- Function as a clinical expert to achieve patient outcomes.
- Ensure staff competence and create an environment conducive to learning and provide feedback to stakeholders.
- Promote customer satisfaction, address complaints, conduct quality care rounds and audits to monitor care levels and report accordingly.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree/Diploma in nursing with postgraduate diploma in midwifery.
- Current SANC registration.
- 3 years' relevant experience in maternity (labor and post-natal) units.
- Proven leadership and people management experience within a maternity unit.
- Computer proficiency.
