About the Position

Vega School invites applications from highly qualified and experienced lecturers in business management. This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic faculty and contribute to the growth and success of our institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lecturing on business management programs across various modes of delivery, ensuring high-quality instruction and effective student engagement.
  • Assessing student performance and providing constructive feedback, as well as contributing to internal moderation processes where necessary.
Professional Development and Support
  • Participating in lecturer development initiatives, including peer reviews, workshops, and one-on-one consultations, to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Student Success and Support
  • Leading academic development and support for business management students, focusing on their academic success and overall well-being.
  • Identifying and implementing targeted support interventions to address student needs and improve outcomes.
Research and Scholarship
  • Promoting a culture of scholarship within the faculty and institution, contributing to research output targets, and engaging in professional development activities.
Required Competencies
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work proactively and manage relationships with colleagues and stakeholders in a positive and productive manner.
  • Proven track record of effective teaching in business management, based on reflective practice and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Able to demonstrate strong relationship management skills, with the ability to motivate, engage, and develop staff and students.
  • Passion for delivering excellent customer service and meeting the needs of diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in using technology to enhance learning and teaching is highly desirable.
Minimum Education Requirements
  • Masters degree or currently completing a master's degree in Business Management or a related discipline (MBA, MBL, Master in Strategic Management etc.).
  • If studying towards a Masters, an Honours qualification in Business Management or a related discipline is required.
Minimum Work Experience Requirements
  • At least 5 years of teaching and learning experience, preferably in a higher education environment.
Working Hours and Benefits
  • Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 17:00.
