Job Title: Concrete ForemanJob Summary:

The successful candidate MUST BE ABLE TO SPEAK A HIGH DEGREE OF AFRIKAANS and will oversee all activities relating to concrete preparation, placement, installation, finishing and curing, while considering safe working procedures in line with the OHS Act & Regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Language Proficiency: The ability to communicate in both English & Afrikaans is essential.
  • Concrete Preparation: Oversee all activities relating to concrete preparation, placement, installation, finishing and curing.
  • Project Management: Manage all challenges that have potential to affect project and quality completion.
  • Resource Management: Managing resources effectively and delegate tasks to concrete laborers while providing overall guidance.
  • Quality Control: Inspection of all concrete works post removing the formwork and shoring and instruct the concrete laborers to correct any possible defects and concrete roughness.
  • Other Responsibilities: All other relevant Concrete Foreman tasks, as required from time to time.
Requirements:
  • National Senior Certificate is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as Concrete Foreman, including waterproof and off-shutter concrete works is required.
  • Experience in reservoir construction will be advantageous.
  • The ability to interpret drawings and plans is required.
  • Excellent management & leadership skills are required.
  • Valid drivers' license is required.
