We are seeking an Investment Relationship Builder to join The Recruitment Council's team in the Western Cape retail investor/IFA market.

About the Position:

This role will focus on expanding our brand presence and increasing engagement within the investment community.

  • Develop and nurture new sources for investor inflows from the IFA/adviser market.
  • Foster profitable relationships with IFAs, Wealth Managers, Family Offices, etc.
  • Maintain and enhance the existing client base.
  • Focus on client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:

Raising Assets from New IFAs, Wealth Managers, and Family Offices:

  • BUILD TRUSTING RELATIONSHIPS WITH INVESTORS AND PROSPECTIVE INVESTORS.
  • MANAGE A PIPELINE OF OPPORTUNITIES AND ENSURE CONSTANT BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:
    • ATTRACT NEW BUSINESS AND LEADS.
    • ENCOURAGE ADDITIONAL INVESTMENTS FROM EXISTING CLIENTS (CROSS AND UP-SELLING).
  • GENERATE FURTHER REFERRALS FROM EXISTING INVESTORS.
  • HOST PROSPECTING EVENTS TO BUILD QUALITY RELATIONSHIPS AND SUPPORT BUSINESS INFLOWS.
Asset Retention Objectives:
  • STRENGTHEN RELATIONSHIPS WITH VALUED INVESTORS THROUGH ONGOING ENGAGEMENT.
Communication and Visibility Objectives:
  • EVALUATE AND RESEARCH EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION CHANNELS.
  • SCHEDULE REGULAR FACE-TO-FACE MEETINGS WITH INVESTORS AND PROSPECTIVE INVESTORS.
  • ARRANGE AND HOST CLIENT FUNCTIONS.
  • ATTEND NETWORKING EVENTS.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • PRIOR SALES EXPERIENCE IN THE FINANCIAL INDUSTRY.
  • A PROVEN TRACK RECORD OF SECURING NEW BUSINESS (AT LEAST 2-3 YEARS).
  • ABILITY TO SERVICE, CLOSE, AND UP-SELL ACCOUNTS.
  • AN ESTABLISHED NETWORK OF CAPE TOWN-BASED IFAS.
  • IDEAL CANDIDATES HOLD A CFP/CFA/CAIA/INVESTMENT HONOURS OR OTHER FINANCE-RELATED QUALIFICATION.
