Job DescriptionThe Senior International Contract Negotiator will be responsible for managing all contract activity for the group, representing the Company in complex contractual negotiations, and ensuring compliance with legal and business requirements.
- Negotiate significant contracts or contract modifications, often under challenging conditions, to achieve favourable terms and conditions with clients.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with non-compliance with company policy and procedures.
- Participate in strategic planning activities, including risk assessment, bid/no-bid analysis, and business plan development.
- Lead and manage a team of contract administrators, ensuring high-quality performance and adherence to company standards.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant contractual issues through active participation in professional societies and networks.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to contract administration and negotiation.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A JD/LLB in Law or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of prime contract administration experience within a large international oil and gas engineering firm.
- Proven expertise in negotiating complex contracts, industry business practices, and contractual law.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and proficiency in PC software packages associated with contract administration.
- The ability to work independently, think critically, and make informed decisions under pressure.
