Demi Chef De Partie Baker

As a key member of our culinary team, you will assist the Head Baker in creating and executing a variety of baked goods, desserts, and breads for all dining outlets on board the ship.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of high-quality baked goods, desserts, and breads in accordance with company recipes and guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to all sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Assist in inventory management and ordering of ingredients and supplies.
  • Train and supervise junior pastry cooks and bakers, ensuring they adhere to company standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Participate in menu planning and development, bringing new and creative ideas to the table.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to food safety and hygiene.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times, representing the company in a positive light to guests and fellow crew members.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pastry Cook or Baker in a high-volume, upscale restaurant or hotel.
  • Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized culinary institution preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry and bakery techniques and methods.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work long hours and adapt to changing schedules and demands.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Valid Food Handler's Certificate or equivalent.
