About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HVAC Project Manager to join our team at Job Masters Pty Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing large-scale HVAC projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing project plans, defining scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders;
  2. Leading cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives;
  3. Liaising with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis to ensure effective communication and issue resolution;
  4. Estimating resource requirements, preparing budget proposals, and recommending subsequent budget changes where necessary;
  5. Negotiating with other department managers for personnel acquisition and determining additional staffing needs;
  6. Setting and managing project expectations, delegating tasks, and ensuring health and safety compliance;
  7. Tracking project milestones, developing progress reports, and analyzing results to troubleshoot problem areas;
  8. Proactively managing changes in project scope, identifying potential crises, and devising contingency plans;
  9. Coaching, mentoring, and supervising project team members and contractors to promote accountability and positive action;
  10. Building business relationships vital to project success and conducting postmortems to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements;
  11. Developing best practices and tools for project execution and management.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree, preferably with technical MEP & HVAC knowledge;
  • 3-5 years direct work experience in MEP or HVAC project management capacity, including process development and execution;
  • Solid working knowledge of current Internet technologies and project scheduling skills;
  • Demonstrated experience in personnel management and proficiency in MS Office;
  • Persuasive, assertive, encouraging, and motivating leadership skills, as well as strong written and oral communication skills;
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from various sources, defuse tension within project teams, and bring projects to successful completion through political sensitivity.
Salary and Benefits

This is a highly rewarding opportunity with a competitive salary range of R800,000 to R1,200,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a generous remuneration package, we offer:
