The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in securing new business in the road freight industry, in-depth knowledge of the South African transport sector, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategies to acquire new transport contracts and business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients.
  • Conduct market analysis and identify profitable transport opportunities.
  • Negotiate competitive rates and contracts.
  • Understand and calculate vehicle operating costs.
  • Monitor industry trends and adapt business strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with operations team to ensure service delivery excellence.
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities and client interactions.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in transport sales or business development.
  • Proven track record in securing new business in the road freight industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of the South African transport sector.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Existing industry network advantageous.
