About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Manager to join our team at Eskort. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our store, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stock Management
    • Place orders with suppliers and manage delivery schedules
    • Receive and inspect stock, reporting any discrepancies or damages
    • Manage stock levels, including ordering and receiving stock, and maintaining accurate inventory records
    • Monitor and control stock shrinkage, including losses and damages
  • Housekeeping and Maintenance
    • Ensure the store is clean and well-maintained, including all floors, bathrooms, and office spaces
    • Maintain high standards of HACCP and OHSA compliance
  • Employee Management
    • Recruit, onboard, and train new employees
    • Develop and implement employee training programs
    • Manage employee relations, including discipline and performance management
    • Monitor and improve employee wellness and motivation
  • Store Organisation and Visual Merchandising
    • Design and implement visually appealing store displays and layouts
    • Manage product placement and rotation
    • Ensure effective use of merchandising materials and promotions
  • Cash Management and Security
    • Manage cash handling and reconciliation
    • Minimize cash losses and ensure safe and secure cash handling practices
    • Monitor and maintain CCTV cameras and alarm systems
  • Customer Service and Experience
    • Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
    • Monitor and analyze customer feedback and complaints
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer experience and loyalty
  • System Administration and Reporting
    • Manage staff clocking and attendance
    • Monitor and maintain Meat Matrix and other systems
    • Generate and analyze reports to inform business decisions
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a retail management role
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and improving customer satisfaction
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
