Mothers2mothers (m2m), an African Primary Health Care organisation, is seeking a highly skilled Asset & Fleet Controller to support operations and programme service delivery in the three supported districts in Mpumalanga Office.

This role is based in the m2m CHAMP Office in Nelspruit and reports to the Finance and Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Asset Management:
    • Verification, tagging, and updating of the CHAMP Fixed Asset Register
    • Initiating and documenting asset disposition in line with the USAID rules and regulations
    • Preparing audit requests and samples for CHAMP
    • Delegate authority to approve vehicle requests
    • Asset safekeeping and security
  • Fleet Management:
    • Help manage the organisational fleet and support in the procurement for vehicle rental and management of subsequent contracts
    • Work with security to ensure that mileage is logged and submit all vehicle logbooks
    • Reconcile the petrol card statement with supporting documents
    • Vehicle tracking and conducting spot checks
  • Vehicle and Asset Insurance Management:
    • Work with the Program Officer to allocate project vehicles
    • Reviewing and e-filing of vehicle request documentation
    • Enforcing vehicle request protocols
    • Coordinate authorised driver registration and training
  • Inventory Management:
    • Conduct stock count and reconciliation
    • Enforcing CHAMP inventory and stock controls
    • Stock receiving and enforcing dispatch controls
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business-related field
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • Good understanding of accounting for assets and inventory management best practices
  • Knowledge of external and internal audit processes
  • Proficiency in English and at least one other African language
  • Basic computer skills
