Job Title: Senior Safari Travel Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Travel Consultant to join our team at ABC Worldwide. As a Senior Safari Travel Consultant, you will be responsible for promoting and booking traveling arrangements for clients, with a focus on enhancing satisfaction and acquiring an expanding and dedicated clientele.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough research on various destinations and travel options to provide clients with expert advice and recommendations.
  • Diagnose clients' specifications and wishes, and suggest suitable travel packages or services that meet their needs.
  • Organize travels from beginning to end, including booking tickets, accommodation, and rental transportation.
  • Supply travelers with essential information and useful travel materials, such as guides, maps, and event programs.
  • Collect deposits and balances from clients.
  • Develop and implement promotional techniques to sell itinerary tour packages.
  • Handle unforeseen problems and complaints, and determine eligibility for money returns.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records of clients.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key persons in the industry.
  • Ensure financial statements and documents are up-to-date and accurate.
Requirements:
  • Proven working experience as a Travel Consultant, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of Eastern and Southern African travel is highly desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge of traveling software, including computer reservations systems, GDS systems, and e-travel.
  • Proficiency in English, with knowledge of additional languages an advantage.
  • Exemplary sales skills and a customer-oriented approach.
  • Well-versed in various areas of travel, including domestic and international, business and holidays, group and individual.
  • Ability to present, persuade, and communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrable ability to handle crises.
  • Candidates with personal travel experience will be preferred.
  • Degree in Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, Business, or a relevant field.
