Job Title: Product Introduction Field Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Introduction Field Engineer to join our team at Alstom Rolling Stock South Africa (Pty) Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing field engineering leadership and support to projects and the Product Introduction team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide field engineering leadership, assist and support to projects & PI team for investigation, troubleshooting and resolution of technical/quality issues
  • Effective performance of Troubleshooting, repairs, Field modifications and testing activities
  • Compliance and adherence to Environment, Health, Safety and Quality rules, procedures and policies at all times
  • Accurate and up to date Reporting and Data management
  • Model the AIR values of the Company and always act ethically and compliant
Requirements:
  • / Bsc Engineer (Electrical / Electromechanical/ Mechanical)
  • Minimum 5 years Rolling Stock (Locomotive / train) experience
  • Railway safety & RAMS experience will be advantageous
  • Environment, Health and Safety knowledge/exposure
  • Hands on Testing / Commissioning, fault finding & repair experience
  • Proficient in reading schematics and technical drawings
  • Data analytics
  • Experience in analytical fault reporting and report writing
  • Advance understanding of technical drawings and schematics

  • Knowledge of maintenance engineering principles
