Key Responsibilities

Assume full responsibility for driving revenue growth, profitability, and volume expansion across designated accounts within the portfolio. This includes:

  • Minimizing and managing potential channel conflicts to ensure a harmonious sales environment.
  • Creating and implementing processes to measure, track, and report on account performance, ensuring a focused approach to monitoring trends and achievements against set targets.
  • Developing comprehensive reporting mechanisms to highlight market movements for Sales and Management.
  • Strategically penetrating competitor markets to enhance market share.
  • Conducting thorough cost-benefit and needs analyses for both existing and prospective clients as part of the sales strategy.
  • Engaging in proactive outreach to new and potential customers while executing a targeted growth strategy for existing clients in the assigned sales territory.
  • Analyzing market potential and maintaining accurate sales and status reports.
  • Consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets in terms of volume and revenue.
  • Establishing and nurturing positive business relationships with customers.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures while upholding integrity and sound business practices.
  • Providing exceptional service and further developing the existing customer base.
  • Representing the company at trade shows and open days, including conducting live product demonstrations.
  • Adhering to the company's planning, reporting, and customer management frameworks as outlined by management.
  • Maintaining alignment with the company’s pricing and discount structures as determined by management.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with existing and new customers through tailored account support and collaboration with internal order-processing teams.
  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and effective after-sales support.
  • Delivering internal and client-facing presentations.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to create client proposals and managing the delivery and follow-up processes.
  • Participating in monthly sales meetings and one-on-one sessions with the Sales Manager.
  • Continuously seeking new opportunities within both independent and chain accounts in the designated region.
  • Communicating new service and product opportunities, feedback, and insights gathered during field activities to the Sales Manager.
  • Coordinating with company personnel to facilitate the sales closing process.
  • Providing weekly updates regarding lost sales and back orders.
  • Submitting monthly call planners by the end of each month for the upcoming month.
  • Updating the CRM daily with visit details and call logs.
  • Preparing an annual sales plan for the assigned area, including:
    • Sales per customer from the previous year,
    • Projected sales for the current year,
    • Sales strategy for the upcoming year,
    • Target customer identification.
  • Performing any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience

A technical qualification and/or a minimum of three years of experience in a technical field is required.

A valid, unendorsed driver’s license is essential.

Willingness to travel is a must.

Fluency in both English and Afrikaans is required.

Strong negotiation skills are essential for success in this role.
