Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team at Swift Recruitment. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers, identifying sales opportunities, and providing technical support to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Engagement
    • Travel within the sales territory to meet with prospective and existing customers.
    • Conduct calls and face-to-face meetings with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure repeat business and referrals.
  • Order Management
    • Accurately capture all order information on the Sage system, including customer name, product code, price, contact person, mobile number, and delivery address.
    • Efficiently manage and release customer back-orders, with each sales person responsible for their own back orders and customer service.
  • Quote and Tender Management
    • Provide accurate quotations and tenders on standard catalogue items.
    • Follow up on quotes, tenders, and projects to ensure timely completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Sales and Customer Service
    • Closing sales and providing excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Do after-sales service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Product Promotion
    • Promote all products, with some product training to ensure sales team is knowledgeable about products.
  • Communication and Reporting
    • Communicate customer satisfaction and complaints to management.
    • Keep customers informed of any changes made to products, new products, and any possible price changes.
    • Negotiate prices and discounts within stated perimeters.
    • Collect customer original credit applications and evaluate place of business.
    • Prepare weekly call sheets and communicate ideas for improvement.
  • Contract Review
    • Review contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Qualifications
    • Formal electrical qualification.
  • Experience
    • 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Skills
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Excellent negotiation skills.
    • Effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
    • Time management skills.
    • Computer skills.
  • License
    • Valid driver's license.
  • Advantageous
    • Sage experience advantageous.
