Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Banking Specialist to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating revenue by sourcing new clients and proactively managing existing relationships to maximize profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales: Proactively cold call and find new clients to meet the monthly revenue target, educate and promote Bidvest Bank's full product offering, manage profit margins, and track sales activities to increase efficiency.
- Portfolio Management: Monitor, track, and report on sales activity, identify opportunities for cross-selling, and develop a good understanding of client needs to grow the client base.
- Risk Management: Comply with governance requirements, understand client risk profiles, and optimize product mix to minimize risks.
- Client Centricity: Anticipate and interpret client business requirements, provide relevant timeous solutions, offer excellent service, and ensure client retention and long-term working relationships.
- Admin Support: Provide reports to track progress, review client files, update client information, and manage client interaction on the CRM system.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Mandarin speaking required.
- Matric, NQF5 National Diploma – Finance/Certificate in Banking, and FAIS RE5 completed within allocated timelines as prescribed by FSCA.
- Recognized as per FSCA Relevant Financial qualification.
- 2 years of previous business banking and relationship management sales experience with exposure to financial services.
