About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Offshore Technical Operations Lead to join our team at Capital Recruit. This is a unique opportunity to work on a cutting-edge offshore mining system, overseeing its technical management and ensuring safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the vessel mining system, including ROV seabed mining tool and Metallurgical Processing Plant, and all associated equipment, systems, and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Group and ARGO Safety and Security policies, as well as Risk Assessments.
  • Supervise the mining tool ROV launch and recovery (LARS) and manage the mining process on board in conjunction with SEN GEO, MAINT ENG, PLNT FOREMAN, OSMM, and MASTER.
  • Manage major port call maintenance projects, such as dry dock, in conjunction with OSMM, MASTER, ARGO, and IMDH.
  • Maximize mining system utilization in liaison with the OSMM and manage planned and preventative maintenance and repair schedules for mining systems and vessel systems.
  • Provide input into annual budget planning and cost control, ensuring compliance to budget.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary degree in an engineering discipline, with minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience in senior management or managerial/supervisory roles.
  • Knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, electrical, and instrumentation systems, specializing in at least one discipline.
  • Excellent people management and communication skills, as well as strong leadership skills with high ethical standards.
  • Financial, budget, and project management skills, with excellent problem-solving skills and analytical ability.
