Job Description:

The Quality Management Director will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of quality management systems within our organization. This role requires a strong understanding of quality standards and principles, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Quality Systems: Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems that meet international standards such as IATF 16949:2016, ISO 9001:2015, and VDA 6.3:2016.
  • Lead Quality Team: Provide strategic and change leadership to the total quality team, ensuring effective collaboration and communication among team members.
  • Audit and Assessment: Coordinate and facilitate customer audits, conduct internal system audits, and process audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Supplier Quality Management: Specify supplier acceptable quality levels, analyze supplier performance, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Quality Control: Establish and manage critical control points in the process, analyze PPMs and defect trends, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Information Management and Direction Focussing: Ensure data collection and analysis of data trends and focus areas for improvement drives, conduct plant management reviews, and provide insights to drive business decisions.
  • Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP): Review quality risks of APQP activities, ensure compliance to process and customer-specific requirements, and approve production part approval process prior to customer submission.
  • Continuous Improvement: Research and evaluate alternative quality testing equipment, identify, suggest, and implement corrective actions to improve quality, and develop an updated continuous improvement plan.
  • People Management: Ensure an enabling climate/culture, manage individual, team, and departmental performance to achieve organizational objectives, compile and update performance contracts and individual development plans, and facilitate individual career path planning.
  • Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE): Conduct continuous risk assessments, conduct planned task observations, identify potential hazards and critical safety issues, address workplace hazards and risks, and apply safety, health, and environment practices and legal requirements when working on machines and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Education: National Diploma in Quality Management or Engineering.
  • Certifications: Certificates in Trained Auditor ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016 & VDA 6.3:2016.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
