The South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) is seeking an experienced professional to provide administrative and technical support to its training and development function.

This position requires a Degree in Human Resources Development or equivalent qualification with NQF 7. A postgraduate qualification in Human Resources Development or equivalent degree at NQF 8 will be an added advantage. This role also demands 4 years of work experience in a relevant field.

Key qualifications for the successful candidate include:

  • Advanced experience and training as a Skills Development Facilitator (SDF);
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent computer literacy and experience in applying software tools including Microsoft Word, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Internet;
  • A valid driver's license with at least one-year practical driving experience and a willingness to travel.

Responsibilities of this role include:

  1. Facilitating workplace skills planning;
  2. Recruiting, selecting, and appointing interns and work-integrated learning (WIL) students;
  3. Processing payment for staff training, staff bursaries, and postgraduate student bursaries;
  4. Maintaining information systems pertaining to staff training, WIL students, postgraduate students, and interns;
  5. Administering expenditure relating to training and development matters.
