At The Building Company, we are seeking a skilled Retail Operations Manager to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to take on a leadership role in a fast-paced retail environment.

About the Role

The primary objective of this position is to ensure that our stores operate efficiently and profitably. To achieve this, you will be responsible for managing resources, including human, technological, and financial assets, in alignment with company policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities
  • Stock Management: You will be responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels, ensuring that products are priced correctly, and implementing strategies to maximize sales.
  • Housing Keeping: You will oversee the maintenance of store facilities, ensuring that they are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Cash Handling: You will assist with cash handling tasks, including counting cash, making change, and balancing the till.
People Management

You will play a key role in developing and motivating our retail teams, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their full potential.

Performance Enhancement

To drive performance improvement, you will analyze sales data, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to increase sales and customer satisfaction.

Customer Service

You will be the face of our company, delivering exceptional customer service, responding to customer queries, and resolving any issues promptly.

Requirements
  • A Grade 12 Higher Certificate or Diploma
  • 4 years of relevant experience in a retail environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/management position
  • Intermediate computer skills
Estimated Salary

R175,000 - R220,000 per annum, depending on experience
