Retail Operations Director

Join Cash Crusaders Retail (Pty) Ltd as a highly skilled Retail Operations Director and take on the challenge of leading our store operations team.
About the Role:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple stores, ensuring seamless execution of business strategies.
- Develop and implement effective operational processes to drive sales growth, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement.
- Lead by example, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Maintain strong relationships with senior management, department heads, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for operational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Store Operations:
- Maximize new goods profit center revenue through effective stock management, merchandising, and visual display.
- Optimize second-hand and SSB profit centers to drive sales growth and profitability.
- Improve store performance through data-driven decision making, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions.
- Monitor and manage sales versus budgets, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
- Analyze sales trends, seasonality, and competitor activity to inform business decisions.
- Proactively coordinate stock availability to meet customer demand and minimize stockouts.
- Monitor and control stock age, damaged, and discontinued stock to optimize inventory turnover and reduce waste.
- Manage employee relations, recruitment, training, and development to ensure a high-performing team.
- Implement succession planning to ensure smooth transitions and knowledge transfer.
- Ensure all security standards are adhered to, maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees and customers.
- Prepare regular reports on store performance, sales, and inventory metrics to inform business decisions.
- Analyze financial statements to ensure profitability and identify areas for cost reduction.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years' experience in a senior management role, preferably in retail operations.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to deliver exceptional results.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- A reliable vehicle and willingness to travel between stores.
- Pass a polygraph test.
