We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced counselling psychologist to join our team at the Central University of Technology, Free State. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing counselling services to students and staff, as well as developing and implementing policies and procedures related to academic support services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to academic support services.
  • Provide counselling services to students and staff.
  • Assist with forming strategic partnerships with internal and external service providers.
  • Oversee and provide workshops and wellness projects.
  • Compile and submit reports.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in psychology with HPCSA registration as a Counselling Psychologist.
  • Three years' experience in the provision of student services in a higher education or similar environment.
  • Registered as a Counselling Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
  • Knowledge of relevant medical legislation and ethical codes.
  • Understanding of key Higher Education Institutional Systems and Structures.
  • Project Management & Report Writing Skills.
  • Proficient in Excel & Word (Intermediate Level).
  • Research capabilities.
