**Job Purpose**
- The Head: Human Capital is a key business partner that enables the business strategy through effective implementation of people strategies.
- As an Exco member of the management team, you will play a pivotal role in growing, shaping, and nurturing a forward-thinking and high-performing culture, while supporting sustainable business success.
- The Head:Human Capital will be accountable for all aspects of the HC Function including, inter alia, Strategy Execution from a HC perspective, Employee Value Proposition, Employee Engagement, Employee Experience, Talent Management including Succession Planning, Talent Acquisition, Career Planning, Onboarding, Learning and Development, Rewards and Remuneration, Compliance and Risk.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Strategic Human Capital Business Partnering**
- The Head of Human Capital is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that align with the organization's overall business strategy.
- This includes identifying the human capital needs of the organization, developing HR policies and procedures, and ensuring that HR initiatives support the achievement of organizational goals.
- Oversees the recruitment, selection, and retention of talent. This includes developing a talent management strategy, identifying key talent, and creating programs and initiatives to develop and retain high-performing employees.
- Responsible for developing and implementing performance management systems and processes. This includes setting performance goals, conducting performance evaluations, and providing feedback to employees.
- Responsible for designing and managing compensation and benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate employees.
- This includes conducting market research (in partnership with Group), developing compensation structures, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Developing and implementing employee engagement programs that promote a positive work environment and foster employee morale and productivity
- Responsible for creating and implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion programs and initiatives that support a diverse and inclusive workplace
- Responsible for developing and implementing HR analytics and metrics that measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives. This includes collecting and analyzing data on HR metrics such as turnover, retention, and employee engagement, and using this information to improve HR processes and programs
- Influence and drive organisational-change strategies in support of the operations strategies, with clear accountabilities, ensuring that the right people are in the right roles to maximise team performance.
- Provide guidance and work with the management team to create an inclusive high-performance team in a collaborative and accountable culture.
- Work with Group HC and management to drive a culture of learning to ensure our teams are skilled and reskilled and future fit by implementing learning programs that support achievement of the company strategy and business priorities.
- Provide operational leadership to the Human Capital Team by partnering with business leaders.
- Build the organizational capabilities for driving sustainable business growth.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to design and implement an company employee value proposition that attracts and retains talent.
- Consistently evaluate and enhance the employee experience to drive customer obsession.
- Elevate our overall HC operations through aligned HC process and tools to drive operational excellence.
- Be a link between group HC functions and the business, enabling the business and HC strategies by cascading group initiatives where relevant.
- Equip managers with the skills to lead, develop and engage our teams authentically.
- Be a trusted advisor the senior management team on people matters.
- Act as custodian and advocate for Altron values and ethics by naturing and championing an environment whereby managers and employees surface challenges and work to resolve conflict.
- Support the company culture with an emphasis on employee wellbeing and good mental health practices, including a productive work life balance.
- Devise, implement, manage, and optimise HC resource solutions, programs, and services with dedicated resources to maximise the achievement of short-and-long term business objectives. (e.g., change initiatives, organisational development, employee relations, talent and performance management, training and development, reward and benefits optimisation, talent acquisition, workforce planning, employment equity and diversity, BBBEE, employee wellness, business diagnostics, productivity, analysis, HC information and analysis, retention and engagement, employee communic
